專(zhuān)利翻譯之非常實(shí)用的小技巧

提到專(zhuān)利翻譯，許多人都會(huì )覺(jué)得很茫然。其實(shí)，只要掌握一些翻譯小技巧，還是比較容易的。專(zhuān)利文獻作為一種技術(shù)文件和法律文件的合體，有其慣用的詞匯和習慣表達。以下是譯境翻譯公司為您準備的一些相關(guān)資料，歡迎各位品鑒。

1.遇有apparatus、device、means三字或其中任兩個(gè)字出現在同一份說(shuō)明書(shū)中時(shí)，建議其譯名分別如下：

(1)  apparatus；arrangement：裝置 

(2) device：器件 

(3) means：構件。

但若未出現在同一份說(shuō)明書(shū)中時(shí)，則均可譯成裝置。

2.et al.：等人

3.means for V＋ing時(shí)在means前面加適當的中譯修飾詞，以免同一份中文說(shuō)明書(shū)中出現多個(gè) "裝置" 時(shí)，不知究竟指的是那一個(gè)。

4.this invention,the subject invention,the instant invention,the present invention 一律譯成"本發(fā)明"。

5.substantially:應視前后文譯為“實(shí)質(zhì)上”、“幾乎完全”、“相當”、或“大體上”

6.preferred, preferential 可譯成"優(yōu)選"

7.those skilled in the art——所屬領(lǐng)域的技術(shù)人員；

8.methods known in the art——此項技術(shù)中已知的方法

9.are well known——已為我們所熟知

10.these include, but are not limited to——其包括(但不限于)

11.alternative embodiment——替代(具體)實(shí)施例；另一實(shí)施例 

alternatively——或者；另一選擇為

12.aspect 可譯成"方面"、"觀(guān)點(diǎn)"及"特點(diǎn)"，例如:

?in one embodiment of this aspect—在此方面的一實(shí)施例中

?in one aspect—一方面

?in a further aspect—另一方面

?in still a further aspect—另一方面
